We’ve worked with Lou on several projects now and have always been super impressed by her professionalism and ability to blend in seamlessly with the team. We love you Lou
Theatre Maker, Director and Writer
Lou and I have worked together for the first time on a pilot of the project Tappin’ In and her enthusiasm and energy is infectious. She works to a really high standard and has an innate ability to see all the possibilities of a project. Lou is a great person to have in the room and is very supportive of the process as well as being sensitive to everybody’s needs. I’m really looking forward to cooking up future projects together.
Independent Artistic Director and Facilitator
Lou has a natural gift for engaging diverse communities as collaborators, participants, and co-creators, especially those who do not normally feel that the arts is for them. She combines tenacity, resourcefulness, integrity, empathy, humour, and warm interpersonal communication skills with strong producing, organising, and networking skills – Lou is a force to be reckoned with.
What is most consistent about Lou is her relentless pursuit of quality and inclusiveness. She thinks creatively and sensitively to ensure that audiences and participants are engaged on their own terms, itself a highly skilled and nuanced task. She is fierce about her values and a passionate advocate for the inherent democracy of placing work outdoors.
CEO – Imagineer Productions
Lou is passionate about outdoor arts and works very hard to promote the sector at every opportunity and is possibly one of the most networked people I know!
She gives wonderful and highly skilled support to new and emerging artists as well as being a real creative force behind some of the best ideas I have seen produced recently. Lou worked with Imagineer as producer on Luke Jerram’s Museum of The Moon ( Coventry Festival of Imagineers 2017) and it was her inspiration to place the giant moon in Coventry Swimming Pool and curate a brilliant programme of diverse community and professional artists responses to the installation. Similarity as Producer on Bridge (2019-20) Lou worked with 37 local organisations in Coventry to curate a beautiful ‘under the bridge’ programme which again saw responses from diverse communities and emerging and established artists.
Lou thinks very left field, has fantastic original ideas, bringing groups of people together with exceptional detail and hard work. Lou is be one of the key influencers in the continued development and success of outdoor art in the UK.
I have worked with Lou both directly on the Imagineer Bridge programme and indirectly through other projects and organisations we have both been involved with.
What characterises Lou’s work is her passion and commitment to her practice coupled, with an attention to detail and skilled project management. She has a creative flair and provides imaginative solutions in her approach to her work.
What really sets her apart though it a deftness of touch which makes all her work look effortless and seamless.
It’s a pleasure to work with Lou she is highly collaborative, inventive and creative
Company Director and Performer – The Fabularium
Lou has gone above and beyond as The Fabulaium’s producer and tour booker. She has introduced us to many valuable names and contacts in the industry that have led to bookings, commissions and collaborations, as well as nurturing our business mentality and always pointing us in the right direction. A very valuable asset to any company she works with.
Co-Artistic Director – Talking Birds
Lou has played a key role in establishing Talking Birds’ work on the outdoor arts circuit. She is very well connected, passionate and knowledgeable about outdoor arts, and a pleasure to work with; I can’t recommend her highly enough.
