Tappin ‘In is co-created with participants, we co-produced as well as learning a new skill (Tap dancing) the groups with also create a new piece of artwork (this could be a podcast/film/visual art) that they decide which celebrates the stories and personal connections to all of the participants that are taking part in the project. We will work with people as co-creators, to take advantage of this rare opportunity to tell the regions story on a national and international stage. The Midlands is a place of exciting cultural diversity and we want to celebrate the stories and communities of this vast and exciting region through a joyous celebration of movement and storytelling.
This project is about engaging and bringing people together who would never normally engage with dance or movement-based activity inspiring long-lasting change in well-being and confidence whilst challenging perceptions of arts-based activities.
